I Got Stories to Tell…

Nipple Slippers

I wish I had a pair of slippers like these!

So, tonight’s the night–it’s “Adult Story Time with Brian McGuigan” at Pilot Books, Summer Robinson’s alcove of small press delights.

The cookies are baked. After much tussle, Jaime and I decided on chocolate chip, Grandma’s oatmeal cookies and snickerdoodles. I’ve, um, “taste-tested” each for quality control and… THEY ARE ALL FUCKING DELICIOUS!

The stories are baked, too, with gobs of boyish humor, an excessive sprinkling of bad words and a pinch of awww moments. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

The reading starts promptly at 7:30 p.m., but milk and cookies (and beer) will be available starting at 6:30. Pilot is a small bookstore, so I definitely recommend getting there before 7:30 to be sure you can get a seat and as many cookies as your gullet can fit. There will be pillows, too, so you can get cozy on the floor, like we did in kindergarten when teacher read us stories. You are welcome to bring your slippers, wear PJs and cover yourself in your favorite blankey.

See you tonight!
